The organization focuses on helping women across the mechanical contracting industry to meet one another and help each other succeed. Please read on to learn more!
The Kickoff Luncheon
The MCAMW recently hosted a kickoff luncheon. At this luncheon, female contractors members of the group could gather and talk about what they want to see this initiative help accomplish. One way that this is being achieved is through the advent of the Young Leaders Program. Let’s now turn our attention to the purpose of the Young Leaders Program.
The Young Leaders Program
Through the YLP, the MCAMW hopes to find the most promising new talent in the industry. This program is also designed to bring more mechanical contractors into the fold, and develop a new wave of leaders to take the next steps in the future. At various events planned throughout the year, emerging professionals have a place to find like-minded individuals, creating new business contacts, partnerships, and collaborations. Every industry can benefit from improved networking capabilities, and providing preventative maintenance on HVAC systems should be no different. These young leaders are also able to sharpen the skills they already have and get more involved in this association, along with finding ways to help their communities.
The Focus of the Program
The goal of the program is to help strengthen ties between young leaders all across the nation. What this means is that peers can come together and trade ideas on how they’ve made improvements. Staying on top of current trends and ever-changing best practices is another expected outcome since working in mechanical contracting can be incredibly competitive. New ideas drive innovation, and just because something has always been done one way doesn’t mean it has to stay that way. Finally, bolstering the association to keep it going for future generations is another target eyed by the organization.
